Absolutely! Removal of the OEM batteries regularly causes incidental damage to the battery wiring when hand-tools, sharp edges, fastener threads, cut ends of lock-wire are handled in a confined, awkward area. Our Battery Access Kit eliminates these hazards.
Once the OEM shelf has been removed, and any incidental damage has been repaired (often caused by the OEM battery mount hardware) the Battery Access Kit can be installed in 10 minutes. Once the platform is secure, batteries can be mounted right away and done in 10 minutes. I will prepare a video demonstration, next time I have access to an aircraft (so stay tuned).
Yes. There are other STC’s for batteries with different form factors. This design can be adapted to them. Contact Sparweb if you want to adapt the Battery Access Kit to your battery configuration. It will make your STC battery kit more appealing to also offer faster, safer access to them.
